Clutch In Ceffy

I just put an exeddy hd clutch in the ceffy and a new slave and it doesn't seem to be disengaging right. I can't seem to change to 2nd with out it grinding gears at full rev, normal driving is ok

Has anyone had issue with the pressure plate not fully disengaging at all

are the Ceffy RB20 clutches different from the R32 RB20??

If it's really high in the range is it possible the gearbox' syncros are just not up to it?

I've had that with my old gearbox.

Yea and sent to the pros but still same feeling

R32 and Ceffy is the same clutch.........sounds like your synchros are on the way out......or as mentioned, the system was not Bled properly.

YEa was hoping it wasn't that.

what could it mean if the clutch is also slipping at high rpm eg. drifting, burn outs

Good point, maybe an engine dampner + some stiffer gearbox mounts?

or possibly the pivot ball thingo for the clutch fork maybe needed to be changed to shorter one (had this problem recently in my ceff)

I have just changed the pivot ball mount in it as it broke.

Well it happened I lost everything this morning clutch pedal going in and stays in slave seems to be moving but nothing happens to the clutch.

I drove to work with no clutch so I can get it to my mechanics. I sick of touching the bloody thing.

I will hopefully get it assessed today some time. Maybe fork has broken, pivot ball have broken again..... who know .....well hopefully my mechanics this arvo..

hardest thing is - gearbox out, change something, gearbox in... still not working... do it again ... its a lengthy process :S good luck with it...

Cltuch is out and it has split in two!!?? on side of the organic fiber has fallen completely off. so this would explain alot.
