the 2nd canister u mentioned, are you referring to the one near the turbo or the one closest to the radiator?

if you were referring to that one closest to the turbo, so basically what you have mentioned is that i just have to cut the hoses going to the caniseter next to the turbo and join them or something like that thus removing that 2nd canister for good. ? any help would be appreciated.

basically remove the rear canister .. and hook the pipe up like the pic below. thats how all i have seen are setup. regardless of the series. i have seen one skyline that had the front type replaced with the one thats at the back of the engine.

see how you go.

dont cut the pipes to the 2nd canister cause you dont want fuel vapours going near the hot hot turbo......BANG!!

if you want to get rid of it, do it properly and take everything out :geek:

which is illegal..

leaving one in there saves that drama.

but isnt the yellow circled object the charcoal canister??

its for emissions 'theevilworld'..i think it neutralises fuel vapours and carbon monoxide? that leak out during the combustive process. the epa and pits wouldnt be too happy if you removed the pollution gear out of the car

someone explain further :P

The charcoal canister collects fuel vapour from the fuel tank. it contains a purge valve so when conditions are determined to be right by the ECU (cruise) the purge vlave vents said fumes to the inlet manifold for combustion. And yes it is a emmissions control device and thus illeagal to remove
