Walked out this morning to find that my front left indicator had come loose as it was hanging out of its socket. It had been loose for some time as it was not secured in any way, it was just holding on! As there were no screws holding it in I dont know how to properly secure it, dont know if or where to put the screws. The seal has also cracked in one spot. So i assume that will need replacing?? How should i go about securing the indicator properly once and for all?

There should be a little tab for a screw to go into on the top front of the indicator which sits in the front corner under the bonnet... (hope that makes sense - monday has smacked me right in the chops. I just want to go home to bed, is that too much to ask?)

It should be obvious where the screw would go to hold the indicator assembly in. Problem is that the tab often breaks off. I found a large diameter washer that manages to reach far enough to sandwich what was left of the tab.

If you want pics, you'll have to wait until tonight.

My tab broke off as well, then indicator fell out when driving over a bump. I cable tied it back in but it came loose again and smashed.

Bought a replacement one, tab was broken right at the back after i tightened it up too tight (dickhead) Got a small screw and drilled a new hole into the cross member, mate, she ain't going no where now.

Or if you don't want to drill a second hole, get a real good poxy resin or a plastic metal bond glue and stick a washer to the broken tab.

Make sure too, that you put the pin into its little home in the 1/4 panel.
