Hey guys, I just got adjustable castor rods the other day and 2 things happend. 1 the steering feels great (a lot better then the old cracked bushes anyways) and also it became a bit more 'sensative; everytime i would go over abump or soemthing, id feel it straight away on the steering wheel. This didnt bother me until i discoverd that afte ri hit about 100 km/h the steering shakes a lot more than it used to with the stock rods. Is this normal? i mean it is a bit of a pain in the ass when ur steering vibrates on the freeway. Also worth noteing is that this doesnt happen all the time, on some surfaces it seems fine. I know its not my rims or tyres cos there pretty much brand new. I also just got a 4 wheel alignment from bob jane.

any advice or reccomendations welcome.

Cheers,

Din.

Hey mate,

The more extra feeling is normal due to the solid linkage rather than the old bushes. I notice it in my Silvia too.

Steering vibrations are usually due to a wheel balance issue. Did you get the wheels balanced when you had the alignment done? If not it is probably worth while or get them to check it again anyway. If you tell them that it is not right at highway speeds they generally just do it again for you.

Cheers,

Adrian
