Just finished painting my rocker covers and re-doing my coilpack cover.

When i first got my car i painted my coilpack cover dark blue (it was meant to look anodized).

I took off my rocker cover to get them chromed, the realized how much that would cost.

Went down to repco and bought some paint and though F it, i'll do it myself.

So after a couple hours of sanding, a few coats of paint, and copious amounts of clear, i am ver happy i chose not to chrome them.

Pics don't do it justice.

1st pic - When i first sprayed my coil pack cover

2nd pic - After finishing rocker covers

3rd pic - re-sprayed coilpack cover

*Notice the difference in colour of the coilpack cover

that looks really good man...

oh, and mine look heaps different to standard...

mainly coz of the clear coat... looks like plastic instead of metal.

i haven't ever had a problem with it before... so i really hope i don't now that you've said it...

im used to seeing cam covers in sandblasted form lol - instead of that little bit of goldish coating they have from the factory

nothing shows off those flakes and the colour than looking at it in person.

yeah might be a problem with the red and not the blue

FYI

removed the garnish today after heating the cover to over 100 degrees in my curing oven, anyone else should be able to use a heat gun and alot of patience..

Here is mine, done by the good ol Craved Coatings :D.

Shitty lighting so you can't really see it too well.
