Hi guys

Took the car down to the Motorplex to see how she'd run. It's an R32 GTS4 with an RB26 transplant and a plain bearing GT35 running 18psi. The car makes 408rwhp @ 7,250rpm

I probably should have checked the graph before I left as we were changing gears anywhere between 8,000 and 8,500rpm. So anyway, the best run was:

Elapsed Time: 11.995s

Terminal Speed: 118.11mph (190.07kph)

60' : 1.953s

330': 5.165s

660': 7.804s

660'speed: 151.57kph

1000': 10.078s

I did have previous 60' times of 1.7 so I guess I should have been able to shave a bit off that run above. It was still wheelspinning and torque steering a lot though.

So yeah, basically what I'm wondering is can I expect any better out of the car or is that about it?

Cheers!

I would have thought that with 408 rwhp (305 rwkw) it would have run with a TS around 125 mph. A TS of 118 mph seems to me to be indicating a power more like 270 rwkw than 305 rwkw.

Or am I being too optimistic?

:D cheers :D

Nope, that sounds about right to me, SK. Not too optimistic at all.

My prediction of 11.40 is based on the type of car and the mph it has actually run rather than the claimed power figure.

I brought the time slip and dyno chart to work today so that I can scan and post. Unfortunately I can only scan into a pdf format so by the time I've cut and paste etc it's in black and white. Once I get a bit of time later after the morning madness period I'll try and post them up.

Once you see the dyno chart then perhaps you could tell me if I am right or wrong in suggesting that the car could be quicker if changed at 7,000 - 7,250rpm rather than 8 or 8.2k like we were experimenting with

But yeah car was run in full street trim
