the weather is shit today? I don't really like that, so should I leave eh?

your car was stolen, no doubt by an australian, being in this country and all.. so maybe you're all happy about that?

The convicts that came to Australia to help settle this place really didn't want to be here really either.. Did they leave?

The aboriginals.. I'm sure they didn't really like the the fact that white folk came to steal their land. Did they leave?

Everybody likes John Howard and his policies - and anybody who doesn't should leave the country?

come on.. its a silly argument in the long run..

My first car was a hx panel van with a blower out of the bonnet, dumped, huge tyres and mags, buble window and it was loud. I couldnt go anywhere without the cops pulling me over even just cruising around. Whenever they stoped me they expected to see a complete bogan with a pack of winny blues up my sleave when they came to the window (it was a beautiful car though, show room condition)

So I sold it and bought a vl turbo. very neat but didnt stand out, did everything possible underneath the bonnet but out side it was a sleeper. Never even got a glance from the cops but it went. Now I have a skyline and im still not into standing. I hope in the future my car wont be a cop magnet because ive been there and it sucks.

people trying to make that happen are my enemy.

i was going to write a long reply but dont have time..

taso84 has a point though, (although directed at entirely the wrong group) these sort of articles are nothing but media propaganda. they make it sound like theres hundreds of 'hoons' but most of those photo's were more than likely collected off the net or thier achives and are probably not even in the same area.

typical media blowing out a story to make for some good reading.

Its not like he is going to post up if it was him.... and by not posting it seems that it is him, wouldnt you post if it wasnt you and people were talking about you been the one involved??

QUOTE(Taso84 @ 1 Mar 2006, 02:25 AM)

U guys are just like typical dumb aussie voters

So you say we jump on the bandwagon so what are you doing? Stereotyping the members who have posted in here right, makes you what you seem to be condeming..

Maybe the article was blown out of proportion but lets think for just a second. He was only hanging out the window etc etc. Then read that he over took a truck in an 80km on the inside on the gravel shoulder, assume he was doing around 100km or more to get past the truck, tell me that is safe?? Loose uneven surfaces, excessive speed in the circumstance, to me that points to the driver been just a little low on brain cells or to high on ego?? Look at me Im hardcore...

What would have happend if he lost it in the gravel and slide into the side on the truck doing 80km, and him we will assume doing 100km. Nice little mess to clean up, police to go knocking on parents doors. Real nice.

Why cant people look deeper into this and realise its about so much more than the people in the article, its a culture that seems to be growing, it needs to be stamped out. Sad as it is some people only ever learn the hard way.

what the f*%k kind of comment was that?

are you taking a stab at aussies or what?

Nah man, what do u mean by "us aussies?"

Im just as Australian as you are, born and raised here, but that really is irrelevant.

All i was saying is that the public is stupid and fickle and yes they do get influenced by such programs as ACA and 60min.

Take the time to do a bit of thinking for urself... instead of absorbing the crap that is fed to us every day. Read between the lines, sort out the facts from the bs. Not having a go at u at all, no need to take offence mate.

Innocent until proven guilty, just coz he doesnt want to answer ur questions doesnt mean hes guilty. He might have to goto court about this, u dont know, and if he does, speaking on these forums about the matter would be stupid and could possibly be viewed as trying to influence the court case

No, i am looking at the facts, goto page one and see what people have been saying. There is no bandwaggon for me to jump on since i am the only one voicing these views so before you start firing the cliches at me think about what i have said.

Congratulations, on making yourself look like a complete idiot

If u cant attack my argument dont attack me personally. All it shoes is that u lack the intellectuall capacity to string a logical argument together. If u dont agree with me thats cool, tell me where u think i am wrong.

Looks like another '2 kooL 4 skooL' r33 driver i see alot of, they never wave.

would a www.skylinesaustralia.com sticker give cops the idea that your a responsible driver because your in a car club? or would it give them more reason to pull you over?

any experienced SAU members....?

lmao, beat me to it. those are some seriously stupid plates if you're looking to avoid unwanted attention.

As far as I knew the driver of a motor vehicle is responsible for the passengers in the vehicle, so if the guy out the window was killed/injured the driver of the 33 would be the one in trouble. And by letting the guy do that means he thought it was ok. And overtaking on the inside on gravel is driving like a hoon.

That's the problem these days.. everybody is resposible for a person's actions... except the damn people themselves!

It was the car's fault, it was his friend's fault, it was the roads fault, it was the police's fault for not pulling him over earlier, it was the weather, it was the ....

Seems everybody is getting in on the Howard act these days... Always someone elses fault aye

You lack the intellectual ability to spell a sentence correctly.

Want a medal now or later?

Your comment was stupid, expect to be flamed for it as it was ignorant.

The driver is responsible for everyone in the vehicle, including the vehicle itself and its contents.

If the driver (danielson, my cat, or an army of arabian fleas) lets someone get thier geezer out the passenger window, the driver (could be the arabian fleas) are instantly responsible.

I think you'll find that the law backs that up too if you ended up in court.

You would be charged with negligence among other charges that the Police could produce.

I would like to add that if the passenger is over 18 then the driver is not responsible for their behaviour. In this case it would be a penalty notice to the passenger taking the photohgraph. But also with any common sense a driver wouldn't let a passenger hang out the window.

Police can't act on photographs of hoons given unless you start making phones/cameras with built in radar's for speed taking into account your car would also be moving this wouldn't work. Also the Laws are such that unless it's a collision involved police can't act on traffic offences unless witnessed by them. They are also Summary offences which means that you can only be charged with offence within 12 months of offence date.

I would also agree that any media coverage like this is detrimental to our community. From personal experience every Skyline I have dealt with for offences has been P plater R33 GTST. This would only be about 1% of penalty notices I have issued though but again every EPA form I have issued has been on them too. Not to have a go at GTST driver's though or members of SAU.
