Strut Brace Issue (front) For R33 Gts-t

i got A new strut brace and is having some issues fitting it though, it seems that the nuts that screw onto the main strut brace is not long enough, like even after only 2 turns of the bolts (barely holind the nuts together) it still wont be long enough to connect to the joints? maybe they gave me the wrong nuts? it seems as though if the nuts was even a little bit longer it be right but they just doont seem long enough to reach the joints that bolt onto the suspension and i cant losen the bolts to make it reach cos their already pretty much barely in.

did any one else have any similar issues?

usually that happens when you get cheap strut braces... did you get a cheapo ???

well it wasnt like a cheapo cheapo, but still cheap (Not like cusco or a high end jap brand), but the thing is its australian made so it cant be that bad?

I don't think it matters where it was made i guess maybe it is not designed for your car i would be sending it back asking for a refund. eg maybe they sent you a gtr one and you have a gts-t i dont know ;)

So are you talking about the bolts coming from the shocks.Or the ones that go through the brackets and the bar themselves??

If it is the brackets and bar then just go and get a longer bolt to go through it so there will be somthing for it to sit on.

its the bolts that screw into the bar itself.... they look like their a special type of bolt..cos they got a hole drilled through them and everything, so i dont know where u could get replacement bolts like that...

      As a general rule removing rubber fuel hose is so difficult I would replace it if it hasn't been done in the last 5 years. The risk you damage the liner or one of the inner layers is pretty high if it's not almost brand new. BMW's recommendations around coolant hoses is similar. My R33's fuel hoses at the fuel tank were so perished that they were ready to burst FYI.

      Yes. It's either "2 wires", or 1 wire, depending on how you look at it. It is the connection that ties the battery -ve to both the chassis and the engine. Every electron that goes in or out of the battery goes through those 2 small spots (on the inner guard and on the engine block). If those are not clean and tight, then shit starts to suffer. Yeah, but measure it again cold in the morning, after it has had hours to rest. You can't usefully test the charge state of a battery immediately after it has been running because the alternator puts a surface charge onto the plates that takes a while to soak in and balance out. It will always read higher, and potentially look properly healthy, when fresh off of charge. But hours later it can look a lot less healthy. It's also worth measuring the battery voltage while cranking, although this can be difficult with a typical DMM because the screem update rate is so slow on most of them. An analogue voltmeter is actually a better tool for that. If the voltage drops too far while cranking, it is a sign of a poor battery. Although I don't think we're necessarily looking for a weak battery here - just wanting to exclude it.

      Does have series 2 airbag steering wheel and passenger side airbag also.
