Quick Question On Cams

G'day oh knowledgable ones,,

just a quick question, can RB26 cams be fitted to the RB25 and if so would there be any gains to be had by doing this?

I know the lift and duration would have to be different,, but will the cams fit and can the hydraulics be replaced with solids???

I can get a set of near new N1 cams, springs and followers VERY cheap, but wont waste my money if it won't work,,,,

Well, they bolt straight into RB20s, don't see why they wouldn't do the same in a 25. It's still debateable whether or not you need to convert to the RB26's solid lifters.

It's a 95 series 1 Turbo

as for the lifters,, I can get a whole package with cams lifters and springs,, all only 12 months old,,,

Am looking at bolting up a t70 shortly along with a few other mods so if I go that road I will no doubt need to upgrade throttle body and AFM,,, maybe to the Q45,,,

I think there are too many thing to be changed to make it worthwhile. You would be better off getting some second hand poncams from someone that are made for that engine.

I mean at the very least you will have issues with the cas fitting.
