See what I mean? Look at the interest all of this talk is creating. I reckon we're on a winner here. It's one thing to see a 33 buzz by winding boost and blowing off, but imagine seeing a 'stang do the same.

I'm lovin' this!

Well I can say I bought my skyline as my keeper. Basically I see the car as a never ending project. You can just keep doing stuff to it. And every time you do something new it's like having a new car.

No matter what car you get if it just stays the same then eventually you'll get bored of it. The only way to stop that is to get a car you can keep changing and improving.

Well thats the case for me anyways. I've had my car for over 2 years and I've done heaps to it but the list of things I still want to do it seems to grow quicker than the list of things that have been done.

Other than my GTR my one day desire is for a custom chopped 34 Ford 5 window coupe.

That, and I can turn up anywhere in the abovementioned mustang and have instant cred. Not always something that can be said for Jap cars, unfortunately.

it all sounded good until I saw this line..

just makes me think that you are one of those... what was it.. "Snotty nosed 16 year olds"?

My opinion only.. :D

you can respond if you like mate.

I was merely stating that "I" think that anyone who has a car for "instant cred" as you put it is a insecure little person that needs approval from others.

Not so much that, but that jap thing, as good as it is (and god knows I love it in the 32) is a bit thin, especially nowadays when the streets are flooded with jap cars every weekend.

I'm looking for something different that turns heads, as I think the effect has largely worn off on our cars. Doesn't make em any less fun to drive or great cars, just means you might wanna think twice before sinking huge amounts of cash into em.

Hope I've cleared it up.

Well then, stay with the jap and grab an *awesome* Nissan RS4 or RS260 Stagea.

What a terrific car; I plan to be a Stagea owner for the long term.

Fact is they are rare, and likely to stay that way, but yet offer the RB power & Attessa handling.

well I guess we're different..

I bought my car cause I liked it.

I like how it drives, I like how it stops, I like how it turns, I like how it looks.

I like what it costs.

I don't want heads to turn or to stand out.

they are not on my list of must have's when looking for the next car.

hell I was ready to buy a series 1 R33 gtst, because it had that 2.5 head and gearbox I wanted for my project and didn't care that you'd break the horn in a week if you beeped at every other R33 owner you see..

why are the streets flooded with jap cars?

because they bring to the market what no other aussie supplied cars can.

and the price is cheap.

service is normal (usually).

parts are cheap (normally) - thank you mummy purchased it for me P platers 3 months down the track...

cars are not an investment opportunity that brings back profit.

it is a hobby for enthusiasts.

if you think that this project you have come up with... (mustang, new paint, interior, engine... etc) is going to "MAKE" you money when you sell it, you are very VERY wrong.

unless of course you steal all the bits..

and if you are, can you keep an eye out for my S14.... maybe it's still in one piece .... yeh right..

what is the weight as printed on your rego slip?

130 kg.. YOU fat bastard hahahaha

LOL

6ft8inches tall champ, and lift heavy weights

:)

Yes, I destroy door frames with my rock-solid nogg'n.

When I pump my chest my shirt explodes in flames

I pop cans of coke just by grabbing it lightly out from the fridge

& I make the fella in your avatar look like a piss-weakling wimpo

etc etc

In all seriousness, I was fully cut-up at 118kgs, but 7 knee surgeries have slowed me down a little, so yes, 10kgs will be going over winter.

I saw that you mentioned the Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III....

unless you have 100s of 1000s of $$$$ to spend, forget it.....

These sell, in average condition, for $100,000+

Perhaps a neat XW GT Falcon would be a better option. It will be only time before they crack the big $$$ like the XY model.....

you know what.. if I jump real high and reach as high as I can, I might be able to slap your forehead for doing whatever it is to cause 7 knee surgeries..

hahahaha

I will be happy one day when I finish a Datsun 1600 in 80's old skewl track trim.... Oldschool SSR dishies (15x9 & 15x10). Fibreglass panels, flares, cage etc etc.. Mmmm I want money lol

With either a off tap L20 stoked to 2.2 with around 11.1 comp.. Or a FJ20 with oldschool turbo kit with aftermarket cast manifold.
