I'm also interested in doing a full bush replacement.

I've not Nismo all through and get REALLY annoying knocking sounds (was actually thinking of how annoying it was on the way to work this morning) and i REALLY want to get it fixed.

A full bush replacement sounds exactly like what needs to be done.

I took my car to Pedders about 2 months ago and got them to thoroughly check it and they said "everyone was fine its just because you have adjustable suspension".

I'm not quite happy about that so im always wanting to know where to go from here.

For the guys in Sydney I'm also looking into doing this VERY soon. If you guys are interested I might organise a group thing at Whiteline... what do you guys reckon?

Also where in Sydney can I get this done besides Whiteline?

Anywhere would probably be able to do this.... Eastcoast maybe? I don't know how accurate it is but theres actually a review on the whitelines stuff for an R32 GTR in HPI GTR special... either number 1 or 2..

I can get whiteline bushes at good prices so if you know what you need i can work out something.

The bushes some of the play out that you will get with the rubber ones, make the handling a lot more responsive, probably only really worth doing if you do the swaybars as well to get the best results.

I've already done the swaybars, and I think because of the extra load the standard suspension bushes are wasted. The car feels very floaty and it's not the shocks cause going over bumps it's still quite hard.

I was looking at totally changing all bushes as I like the hardness and raw feeling of the car.

It was HPI GTR edition 2 which had the whiteline review for the R32. If I could get a rough price on how much it's gonna cost to overhaul the bushes then I can tell when I'm gonna do it.

Exactly what I have done and exactly how my car feels.

There are a lot of bushes in the car and it is probably not worth changing them all.

In the rear on each side there is the lower control arm, and the two upper arms, thats 4 bushes a side. There is also 2 in the hub but i normally dont change these unless it is a race car.

In the front there is the one in the caster rod, the ones in the front camber adjusters and the lower arm. The caster rod one is the one that most needs changing, the others are not as important.

I would start by changing the caster rod and the rear suspension arms and some rear subframe rings. The parts will cost about $300 and im guessing about $200 for fitting plus a wheel align.

I have had the front control arm bushes changed to urethane ones. Here's a tip if being done by Pedders (don't know about others). Ask them to use high temperature grease and not the standard stuff that comes with the bushes or else you will end up with a very "creaky" arthritic sounding Skyline!!

Has a previous owner upgraded springs without doing the shocks? Heavy spring rates will give you a heavy shock over bumps, the shocks will stop it bouncing - this is what I have been told anyways - sorry if I am wrong.

I am a bit intregued, as I have swaybars, coilovers and caster bushes done, and after being set up properly the car handles awesome.

No track, but I have had it all in for about 5 months, and I do like driving on the edge and a bit of adhoc drift whenever the opportunity presents (why else own the car..lol)- its shows no sign of softening, but I would expect if your shocks are under rated for your springs that the track would certianily let you know it - have you had them in for testing? I think pedders will do this pretty cheap?

I also found a huge benefit from going to a suspension specialist, who took my car for a drive - said 'you need to tighten up ***' did it and the car is bloody awesome. This was only recently, prior to this though, it was still pretty tight since the swaybars were fitted.

Like I said before, I could be way out to left field here, but it just really sounds shock related when you say its 'very floaty'.

I got the guru's at Pedders to do a complete test of my setup (as to why im getting knocking noises at low speeds at the rear of my GTS-T).

He said "because its adjustable suspension their is slight movement and their is nothing you can do about it".

What I get out of that diagnosis is that they need to stick to the family cars because when they get a decent piece of machinery infront of them they have no idea.

Whiteline is just a touch too far away for me to pay them a visit tho. (about 45mins)
