Foggy Headlight Covers

my headlight covers are foggy

i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to clean them

Yeah some skylines have this snad blasted look with headlights... looks average.

Do you need to take off the head light covers or just clean over the top?

The best thing to do is pull out the headlight and rub it with 1500 sandpaper and then buff it up. Mine look bran new now

Build ski boats for a living and applied my knowledge of restoring persrex windscreens. Basically a heavy cutting polish and a buff with a lambswool buff pad followed by a couple coats of wax to preserve the finish. The end result was simply stunning, the only difference when compared to a new headlight was a faint light brown tinge that was bearly noticable. Good luck.

I did mine quickly tonight with autosol metal polish, gets rid of the brown shit. But leaved slight scratches. Still much better then before. Anyone know how to get the light scratches out?

Why is this so common with skylines?? I dont see this in newish Commodores at all... well not as common as on Skylines.

How exaclty do u get the head light covers off?

As far as i can see there are 2 metal clips that hold the cover on, once those are off how does the cover just come right off?

They are glued on and you need to bake them in an oven to soften the glue not reccomended by those who have done it.

I baked my old celsior tail lights. Lenses came off no worries, but i cracked one in the process.

what temp and how long do u leave them in the oven for exaclty?
