I know you are all (mostly) import fans here, but I found this video and thought it was pretty cool and interesting.

Its always good to know about the other cars (domestics) and we can all agree that Ford > Holden.

Anyway hope you all enjoy! >_<

F6 Tornado vs Super Pursuit

With that type of launch I wouldnt mind lining them up :D.......Aust jurnos are idiots.

V8 turbo = no Tornado can catch

I wouldnt mind seeing the torque curve on those two. One thing going against the V8 is its a heavier beast.

That video is a joke as they have no idea how to launch a car.

The new Auto Typhoon/Tornado has been clocked at 0-100km/h in 5.1 and the 1/4 in a 13.2 straight from the factory. If you plug a Ford Edit into it, expect a mid 12sec 1/4.

These cars are simply awsome with the new ZF 6 speed auto.

13.2, i dont think so. With 260kw and all that barge it would be in the high end of 13's with a good driver ..

the v8 has 290 and 520 going for it

while the i6t has 270 and 550 - the most torque ever for an ozzy built car

un freakin believable

wait till they come out with the territory turbo and then see if they adapt the drivetrain from that and put it in a sedan mmmmm 245kw i6t all wheel drive

interesting.....

however, i was concerned about the size of the wing mirrors on the ute. the whole time i was totally sh1tting myself, wondering if she could see what was happening behind her ;)

HAHA!

Series hybrid at low speeds, at higher speeds the engine directly drives the wheels but there can still be some power bled off to charge the battery + the electric motor can still provide parallel assistance too. It's really only a question of will at that point. Toyota's PHEVs are selling incredibly well at the moment because of the flexibility. You can run on EV mode when it makes sense, but if you're planning on doing a long highway drive you can still fire up the gas engine and not have to worry about dealing with the rather miserable state of public charging infrastructure.
    • Only reason to keep a MAF on your RB25 is to be able to easily calculate true VE if you know what the factory voltage curve represents in grams per second of flow. Also allows you to do things like pull the original OEM ignition + AFR target tables and use those as a starting point for your base map. Once you're well and truly done tuning though there's no need to retain the MAF.
