Has any one succesfully mastered drifitng on Grand turismo3?

you should be able to, though all my efforts have proved to be in vain.

This is not really motorsport...or drifiting, but it is cheaper and more safer then the real deal

Dude it is damn hard to do it with the hand controler the best bet is to brrow or buy the GT3 wheel and pedels. Then yor just get a S15, RX8 or Nissan Z car do everything bar full LSD custimization just put the 2 way lsd on and then put supper softs on the front and simulation tires on the back. Then its just a case of agresive turn in and the ballence the over steer with the wheel and gas.

The first time i played it i went straight for the R34 nismo skyline which has 400hp and just turned the corner and put on the gas. its that easy have fun.:rave:

I found the 200sx(S14) to be the best drifter.

ADZ has described the best setup though I always go for the normal tyres.

What is your favourite drift track?

I like the complex string or apricot hill, but I used to like highspeed drift on redrock in GT2.

The s13 drifts hard and complex string is good but the damn straight drive me nuts, with top speed of 180 lol.

Yer apricot hill is up there as top track.

and adz whats wrong with full LSD customised ? I find it great for control ?

I can drift in gt3 like you wouldnt believe, if anyone is serious, send me an email and i will give you setup info for most the nissans, well all the good drift cars....i just wish i could video tape my gt3 drifting to post, you wouldnt belive the shit that can be done in that game, constant drift on almost everytrack, soo smooth, so sideways, so controlled.....as stupid as it may sound, mastering drifting on GT3 as helped me drift in real life, there are alot of basic drift tech in the game you can use in real life.

Drifting in GT3 is simple after you play n fiddle around a bit. But i havent "MASTERED" it, i still make a few mistakes. i personally like the AE86 (Trueno) but the S15 is a good car to drift. i think trial mountain and midfield raceway are good to drift in. =D
