Driver
Hey all, I used to have my ebc and turbo timer stuck ontop of each other and that was then stuck under near the steering wheel using double sided tape. 1 year later it came unstuck and ever since then i can never get any double sided tape to stick, ive always cleaned the surface before using new tape and no i dont want to drill any holes in my car. Anyone got any suggestions? Ta in advance Brendan Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/108330-hardcore-double-sided-tape/ Share on other sites

dangerous_daveo
Or use heavy duty stick on velcro. It works pretty good. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/108330-hardcore-double-sided-tape/#findComment-1996574 Share on other sites
Wink
I vouch for hardcore velcro (as in the real velcro brand). Other than that the double sided tape that came with my GReddy EBC is pretty damn hardcore and shits all over the cheap tape. GTshortie
i had to get double sided tape for my side skirt still havent found any thats holds!!! i use to have both my EBC and turbo timer stuck in the same position as you, tried velco & heap of double sided tape. THEN i got my beloved AVC-R so now its only the turbo timer sitting in that position, and guess what i'm using??.. haha its a bit dodgy i must admit but it works 'BLU-TAC' haha thats right and a heap of it!... still holds in the heat to my surprise. SirSkyline
I used 3M VHB double sided tape but you have to wipe wax and grease on the area first it will fall off. You should wipe wax and grease over it no matter what you use, because the plastic is oily and nothing will stick to some thing thats oily. Chris32
We use this shuff at work called 'Husky' double sided tape. It sticks as good as anything I have ever seen. You should be able to get it at a arts supplies store or something like that Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/108330-hardcore-double-sided-tape/#findComment-1997986 Share on other sites
GM_GTR
Hi Driver, I had exactly the same problem.. both my ebc and turbotimer are together so whatever I used it would just fall off whenever it got too hot, anyway the one I found that has worked is from supercheap autos, there's a greenish double sided tape that comes in a roll(no kidding ) You just need to lay strips of it on your tt or ebc and it won't fall off.. there's another roll where the foam is a bit thicker, its black I think(don't get that one), look for the thinner one.. it's only about 1-2mm think and about 5mm wide... I've had it on for over a year and it's still really tight even when I push on it.. good luck Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/108330-hardcore-double-sided-tape/#findComment-1998039 Share on other sites
lang
i dont know the brand of the tape but.. my r32 gtr had an oem nissan dealer fitted knee brace/pad on the drivers door and center console. they were fkn annoying so i tried to remove them. the double sided tape they used on these was f**king hardcore, in the end i had to take the door skin off and use a filleting knife to cut between the door skin and the knee brace thru the foamy part of the tape, could not get it off any other way, im still stuck with the glue on the door trim, cant get it off. so if you really really want to fix it will this stuff exists, goodluck ever gettting it off tho Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/108330-hardcore-double-sided-tape/#findComment-2000667 Share on other sites

Works on all interior parts Used it for the boost gauge, attaching the speaker xover under the dash, and tweeters to the dash also. i think it is in bunnings? Savage Bliss
Yep, try hardware stores. I got some from my local dude to do the same thing. 18 months later and two summers, no timer/control unit lying on floor. Just ask for the heavy duty shit!
