hay guys

Bit up set, driving to work this morning, changed from 3 to 4 very slowly in trafic and i herd something go thud vey softly and then no boost or blow off sound.

car still drives but no power or turbo spool.

is this my turbo blown and what are the vest options to do

i have a r33 gtst rb25det with al the mods excipt injectors and turbo thats standard.

thanks any info would be great.

if the exhaust wheel has gone to heaven youll may get a high pitched squeal sound when you give it some curry but you haven't mentioned any of that. it sounds like an airleak somewhere in the pipework.

did u get any smoke/puff/noises/pops when it occured?

In my limited experience, when I popped the intercooler hoses off (shit silicone rubber & clamps; now replaced) the car simply stalled, and was a real shit to start to just get off onto the side of the road. Was very 'fluffy' when running.

If the car felt 'fluffy' then yes itd be a 'cooler leak of some kind, but if the engine felt normal but just didnt have any boost, then Id be spending the first 10mins looking inside the cat-converter for some ceramic bitsnpieces.

Tangles

yep there was a sound of a thud and then no boost

it starts fine and runs untill it hits the point of boost where nothing happens and not even the noise of the spooling happens

well its off to ICE to be fixed and new turbo and bits and pieces to be played with.

hear hoping its nothing any more major..

( NEW TURBO HAHAHAHAHA)

ive done that once. just finished working on the gtr. took it for a run 8000rpm shifted to 4th and bang. thought i blew something. still ran but shit as. blew my hose off. the one after the 'Y' piece.

dnt sweat. prob nothing major. hope ;).

post up what happened ok.
