Ive just brought a new bov where the pipe connects from the intercooler just underneath the airfilter. I know how to install it but have no clue on what to do with the stock BOV. The stock BOV is connected to the pipe on top of the engine block, do i leave the stock bov there and block it off or should i take the stock bov off?

So what i want to know is:

1. If i was to leave the stock bov intact and block it off will it affect anything?

2. If i was to block the stock bov how do i do it, please give me instructions?

3. If i was to take the stock bov what do i put to replace that hole?

Sorry im noob at this stuff so please give some advice and instructions.

Your help would be appreciated!

Cheers! :)

you can use a metal shim under te std BOV to block it off.. using the std BOV to clamp it down..

use like 0.9 body steel, drill 2 holes in it to match the std BOV shape and bolt holes.. unbolt the BOV and place shim under it and bolt back up...

just make sure the piece of metal is still flat.

wont affect anything if you install the new BOV.. only issue you will more likely have is stalling due to ATMO bov .. do a search for stalling .. usually covered about twice a week.

also remeber to check the tension on the new BOV so it doesn't leak at idle, also that its not soo tight that it doesn't work at all.
