Hey guys,

I've made the 1st few steps for the front mount.

Acually removing the front bar and poking around to see what needs doing.

Moved the horns out of the way.

Cut 2 short 4cm lengths into the front bar, but can't for the life of me get around to cutting the looong strip the connects the 2 !

I'm using a hacksaw by the way. Worked fine on the perpendicular short bits but i can't get the angle for the length ways cut.

What did you guys use? An angle grinder?

The bits I've been buying for this install is gunna cost me just as much as the frigin' cooler !

The hole say (for metal) - $42

The frigin orbar? or something to hold it was 50 freeegan dollars ! What a rip !

(but i'm sick of putting it off and just bought it)

Also, when you cut all your bits, front bar and 76mm hole, do you finish it off with some sort of paint to prevent rusting? What did you use?

Thanks guys/girls

Birnie

yea i used a grinder for the front bar and a standard drill for the 3" whole in the sidewall lol dont do it my way unless you have no choice it took foreverrrrrrrrr then i had to sand it all back so it was smooth. came up fine in the end just a little longer

I used a cutoff wheel on a 5" grinder, it leaves a a lot of scrap sticking to the cut edge but just use a knife or something to scrap it off. I used galv primer on the cut metal bits and then some silver paint as mine is a silver car. (Rust is my enemy)

use a grinder to cut the front bar, and when you get a hole saw to drill the 76mm hole in the side wall thing you will need to get a bit of primer to prevent rust

What parts of your bar did you cut?

I had a S1 with the bar cut right out and it looked :)

Im getting a S2 shortly and want to keep the front bar stock looking. But will want a front mount.

Sorry for the O/T.

I'm sure you could have hired the hole saw for about $10 from any hire mob,,

bit much money to fork out to use it just once,,
