If I decide not to work in the rain or infact walk to the job and get wet then be expected to work on electrical equipment and tell my foreman that it's to risky what do you think would happen? I KNOW They tell you to get f**ked...

it works both ways people, thats why we have union and safety reps on the job to say when it ok or not, some SS do the wrong thing and get a bad name and some good SS do the right thing yet still get a bad name...

I have worked in countrys were it is against the law to be a member...or even start a workers union...this certain country has similar construction death rate to that of singapore...

we could all go on for hours..

Safety, Unions.....

The point is people get upset that they take things a bit too far.

We are in one of the best countries in the world with a wealth of oppurtunities and they want to milk it for every friggin cent. Then they cry when theres no work, go figure.

This thread will go nowhere and could go forever. And the last thing we want is for another week of tools down because a member read this thread and cant work because he is emotionally scarred we cursed his blessed gravy train, i mean union.

Thats a no brainer though...who in their right mind would get you to work with electrical equip in the rain...But wiring up a panel that isnt live etc etc???

Yeh, could go on for days... ;)

Biggest thing is, if union sites were so much safer then nbo union sites where managers/supervisors are encouragign all these dangerous practices...then why is there no difference in accidents/fatalaties/injuries etc?
