Hey guys,

A friend of mine has an R33 S2 GTST. It's reasonably modded - Intercooler, clutch, Mines ECU and I believe a T28 turbo. The problem is, whenever you drive it - no matter if you drive it slowly or if you give it a bit - it feels like it's bogging down. It feels like the clutch is slipping - the revs just climb and you dont go anywhere. If you put your foot on the clutch and rev it a bit it goes away for a small while and then returns. Apparently this started happening when the orginal turbo shattered and the T28 was installed.

Any ideas?

We put the stock ECU back in last night and the problem was still there.

Thanks.

Yer, but does clutch slippage act like that?? :S

I should also point out that the car has been doing this for about 8-9 months now (I dont know how the driver has put up with it). And the problem hasnt gotten better or worse. Wouldnt a slipping clutch get worse?? - Occasionally the problem goes away for a few hours (maybe once every two weeks?) .

if its always been like that then it might not be clutch

generally the clutch slip will get worse and worse, and then just completely fail. it could be that its just stupidly rich and when you put the stock ecu on youve hit the stock rich and retard protection. turn the boost way down to like 7psi and see if you have the same problem.

if you dont, get a real ecu (read: powerfc)
