Dont you EVER say that again! Top down or 3d GTA was and still is the best.

was the best hardly still is very few things remain the best for all time

look @ Test Drive from Accolade WAS the best but isnt now by that i mean TD 1-6 havnt played TD:U and thats more a MMO now i think

well........ Ive been saving my hard earned cash for months now, not spending on anything

been putting away onto the homeloan etc

decided to go the whole hog, so Ive bought a Coolermaster 850w Pro psu and an extra Xpertvision 2900XT to go crossfire mode with. sweeet. hahaha cant believe how stupid I am, but meh no more upgrades for a loooooooooooooonnng time (no need)

will be selling a near new 4month old SuperFlower 650w sli psu if anyone is interested, ~$100, braided lines etc etc

also, set up my basic $90 Coolermaster R120 water cooling cpu system. amazing. running my 3.8ghz cpu at 4.5ghz and it is barely "warm" sweeeeeeeeet. the radiator is like a fricken stock r33 intercooler in size !!!

coolio's. :sorcerer:

^What I get from all that :laughing-smiley-014:

(Yes I have no idea about computer speak)

lmfao !!! :laughing-smiley-014:

hahaha, funny shite

yeah, well, 2yrs ago I built a $1300 pc for me and a $2000 pc for work; I swapped them lol (only pc user at work)

recently, I pulled parts out from my home pc and sold them (got some good ca$h for parts as well, surprised) and bought brand new current-day stuff (ie video card(s), ram, cpu, sound card).

all in all this new beast is worth say $3500 but only cost me say $2000 ish (1300 + new stuff)

so Im happy :pwned:

Lol hotwire, ur a geek.

tangles you over take me with the best computer in SAU, now time for me to wait and get an Nvidia 9800 or some crap like that when its comes out, refridgeration cooling and a 1000w psu. hehe...

I got a great case, im not changing it...

hey pauley, yeah I thought about the 1000w coolermaster psu but I reckon the 850w should be fine.

couldnt justify 50% more for the purchase price for 150w of available extra power supply

the coolermaster pro 850w and 1000w psu's are six rail supplys, so that should be very stable for a top end system

if anyone is after water/liquid cooling for cpu only, Id definately recommend the coolermaster R120 water cooler. amazing value I reckon, compared to a top end copper heatsink & fan. very very loud tho !!!! :pwned:

edit: this pc has to keep me happy for a while, seeing the funds came from my awesome motorbike I had to sell

Thats why I go with the Thermaltake Bigwater 745.

double the price tho

reviews state that the R120 watercooling kit performs up there with the best

tested on a 2gig system the testers could clock by over 50%

anyway, its replacing my $75 Golden orb copper heatsink/fan unit, which Ive sold to work for $50 :pwned: so it was a $50 upgrade, lol

lol you just havnt seen the light

i had a x800xt pe from factory it was overclocked and shouldnt of been and used to get hot so i sent it back and Aust. Post lost it

so i collected $800 for insurance and looked into 7800GTX for $850 was expecting it to blow the x800 away but it didnt so i took it back for a full refund and waited and got the X1900xtx

    • Hi, We've all posted some thread, or know of some other person's thread, that contains information that we want to send people who are asking question to. But if we don't have a link readily available, have to go do a search for the thread before being able to do so. So, it occurred to me that we could possibly utilise the auto-text-replace function that fixes some of my swear words to perhaps auto replace some special keywords with text that also has a link to the thread. A specific example. The thread that I did with the improved R32 GTR wiring diagram scans. If the phrase "R32 GTR wiring diagram" could be auto replaced with "R32 GTR wiring diagram" then all I (or @Duncan, or any of the others that refer to the thread) need to do is remember that that's the keyword (or phrase in this case). OK, it would be better if this keyphrase wasn't that long, but it does need to be specific enough that it doesn't get triggered automatically. And obviously there are threads on turbo topics, or suspension topics that we could treat similarly. Alternatively (and/or additionally), I've been thinking about trying to build a library of the real expert content that is trapped in the bowels of the 25odd years of this site. Things like some of SydneyKid's content. There are threads that he started that should be more easily found, and he has individual posts, or series of posts, in other people's threads, containing very good information. Some of us know that it is there, but....just have no memory of exactly where/when/how we saw it. If we had some sort of library thread, we could put posts in there containing links to things we've found, suggestions for how to categorise it, then a mod or other appointed thread maintainer can copy the link and any key text up into the first post in the library thread. There are probably many other ways to get it done. Some sort of wiki is probably the best way.   Thoughts?
    • But, probably that happened to the last person too, which is why the RTV was there.....if you aren't putting a new gasket in you will need to seal the old gasket back to the metal surface with something, the gaskets will generally only work properly for a single use as they set/harden in that shape
    • What is with the horrible blue and white bit in the centre of the wheels, didn't that come off with some scrubbing?
    • Not sure how broadly you define Northside  but Castle Hill Exhaust are still around and could sort it.
    • I haven't done this as I still use the factory cluster, but I do know the circuits for the flash vs on for hi beam are separate which is likely the issue. The ON runs full power through the switch and the flash uses the relay in the engine bay. I'd hit the wiring diagram per GTSBoy's suggestion
