did u recontract steve? that discount shoulda just kept going.

just like other ISP's TPG might use telstra hardware in an exchange where they dont have their own equipment (i was on telstra equipment for ages, and im with internode... got massive gains when node put one of their own DSLAMs in).

I heard a few weeks ago that TPG is Telstra, to how true that is, no idea.

Not even remotely true. At the end of the day every ISP has to use Telstra in one fashion or another because they own all the copper in the ground. Sometimes it may just be that they dont have a dslam installed at that exchange. However with the new TPG ADSL2+ plans if you dont have TPG equipment in your then you dont get TPG at all.

TPG are rubbish, you would have better luck with an aids infected night walker

Most of the major players in the ISP market have logged ACCC complaints against telstra because their retail price is much lower than their wholesale price.

2 outcomes will likely occur:

1. Telstra will get slammed and have to offer better pricing to all other carriers (WIN WIN)

2. Better deals, companies with their own infrastructure such as Internode, Iinet, Adam etc will be brining out new plans to combat the price squeeze, and you wont get locked into 36 months on a contract as you would with Telstra

    • Those brackets are known for snapping. Easy to fix the metal, and a good seat reupholsterer can fix the rest. I'd potentially get them to look at making new foam too. Even if you've got the old, it will be partly compressed / not as supportive as it should be.
    • Yep that's a superb price and ther is no way you will over capitalise on you investment.  As to the bracket, again just use the passenger side seat  bracket ( obviously reversed ) as a sample to reshape it and in this case, TIG it back together.
    • Thanks for that.... If only I could do something once and be happy with that, like some people do....
    • I had no transmission at all so I managed to find a big box manual gearbox from an R34 GTT for an insanely good price in EU. I converted it to push type which cost more than the transmission almost, with parts from Amayama! These engines are very strong and can put out decent power with a properly sized turbo. You can save on money from parts like pistons and rods, and invest those in the transmission and other parts. I suggest you join the RB20 Enthusiasts facebook group, plenty of info and almost daily posts there about 20DE/DET/Neo+T builds. (I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by mentioning third party platforms, just trying to help the buddy out)
