R33 Petrol Light

Hey everyone.

I have never seen my petrol light come on , is this a common problem for 33's ?? or does the tank need to be completely empty before she lights up ??

It does come on.. well mine did anyway, but it was below the E line when it did..

it goes on when the needle is below 'E'

I was running really low the other day and it still didnt come on.

Oh, it will come on, cos u didnt empty it enough maybe.

My is ON all the time,

not that its anything wrong,

just i dun have money to fill up petrol!

I've seen it once or twice, but generally i tend to fill up when my fuel needle is just below the half way mark, as my car for some reason stays at full for the majority of the tank and then drops rapidly when its starts getting empty.

hye, yeah i had a problem with my fuel sender, fuel gauge was fluctuating full to empty and still my light didn't come on....

I'm thinking mines not working

The gauge and the Fuel light work off two independant sensors.

Also, coil overs (bumpy rides) play havoc with the Fuel level gauge mechanisim. It's pretty fragile
