AP Engineering PowerFC (R32)

RB30DET with R34 GTR Injectors

Injector trim @ 58.5%

I've found this to pretty much be as lean as I can go before drivability suffers.

As it turns out these values are the same as the R34 GTR PFC.

It drops in to closed loop no less than 1km down the road with engine temp is @ ~50degree's.

Here's my correction table.

Standard RB25DET with standard injectors.

I had to copy the values into the 50deg zone as my water temp never gets to 80deg.

It usually just hovers around the 73-75deg mark, never above. Only a few times I've seen it over 80deg.

My car was idling really rough for the first 2-3 mins on cold start after th tune. It was because he leaned it out so much

I now have played around and put 1.28 in the +30 deg low load one and 1.25 in the 50 deg low load cell.

I'll try and knock a bit out and check to see it doesn't interfer with cold idling

I can run 1.00 right down to around +10 with only a real slight roughness. still idles perfectly stable, roughness is hardly noticable.

The issue with mine going so lean is more so the flat spot, running what I have now its spot on. Car doesn't feel as *choked* up when cold and literally feels and drives as if it was warm.

Best part is it doesn't smell like fuel first thing in the mornings anymore, some thing its always done even with the stock motor/ecu.

mins is the same - rarely see it above 75 degrees

Any ways on making it run a little hotter? Or I guess thats a good thing?

Your both running genuine thermostats?

Maybe water temp really is 80+ just the sensors read lower? ;)

Paul.. Yes, see if some ppls on the datalogit forums are keen. Share mine with them, may get things moving, being something different and all.

The PFC appears to stop retarding ign. timing at 60degree's so no real worries with retard, only fuel.

What will happen is it will be tuned, be fine for the street until you really push it hard (i.e track) engine temps will rise, fuel will lean out and you will most likely notice a little detonation.

When I get around to it I will take down my cranking ms injector settings.

I've got it cold starting perfectly with the larger injectors, prior it was taking a few too many cranks first thing in the morning, now it fires on the first crank.

Seems to be a thing with R32's and GTR injectors from what I've noticed.

yeah my thermostat is standard and hasn't been changed. i have seen over 80deg before just not very often. like even giving it a fair cane on the street doesnt get the temps up very high. 75 is normal for me. ill see what i can sus out on the datalogit forums

If the temp sender was in the lower hose where the thermostat is I would suspect the temp to be 76degree's or pretty spot on.

As the temp sender is in the top hose it reads the water temp leaving the motor.

So... The temp sender in the top hose should always read higher than 76degree's no matter what.

In my case ~83 degree's on cruise and up to 88-90 degree's if underload for a duration of time i.e dyno tuning.

Am I thinking along the right track?
