REgap spark plugs or not?

Ok quick question

I am installing a 2 stage boost controller low setting 8psi and high setting 14psi.

Currents engine mods are, 3inch exhaust from turbo back (high flow cat) etc, and K/N Pod filter!

Engine has done 69,000kms!

So i am assuming my spark plugs are in alright condition (or should i change em), can or should i regap the plugs to 0.80mm or leave em as they r since i will b running 14psi boost some of the time??

Less chance of missfire at the higher boost with them gapped to .8 mm

also get u abit more grunt.

as for the condition depends on what type they are. Should be platinums stock.

when u replace get ngk as they come already gapped to .8mm if u buy the right ones.

so the standard 1's should b alright to be gapped to 0.8mm?

Kidding! :lol: i read that 2! but i dont have the equipement to regap the plugs at home! will have to get it done with the service!

seriously I'm no handy man with tools and I did it you only need to be methodical there is quite a bit of work to get all the bits out and thats labour your paying for.

I would try the car with out gapping them first as they might havce already been done in japan

How much would it cost to replace all plugs with 0.8 gapped NGK Platinums ?

jim unless your car is runnig rough the chances are that it has good plugs already.

the platinums are $20 each

u can get the coppers for $4 each. just don't last as long. the price is similar in the long run.

$20 each is fine, where in Syd would I be able to grab them or even online orderin is fine. How many do I need to replace the lot ?

hehe, last time I asked for a battery for a Skyline at Autobarn they tried to sell me a larger one I laffed and sed, no, grab the small terminals for us will ya, they were convinced that they took the larger terminal batteries .... silly duffers
