Apexi Turbos

my car came from jap with one of theses turbos fitted to the RB30 twincam that was in it.

theres turbos are an awesome little unit, i beleive there rated in between the HKS 2535 and 2540 range for power/flow rating

on the rb30 it was instantly on boost (obviously the extra capacity is a huge shove for it) and it now resides on a mates r31 with rb25 fitted and have been told its extremly nice to drive with it

id imagine it to be the perfect turbo to suit a rb25, maybe a little to big for an rb20 but would still be streetable

Apex turbo is made by IHI in Japan. The latest IHI turbo is PEP for GTR. That turbo is the best turbo I beleive because it has the oil film dumper system in centre section. That is the ball bearing system. There are some ball bearing system one is HKS (Garrett). That trurbo do not have the oil film system which reduce the shock. Therefore this ball bearing is easy to get damage and life is shorter than other turbo. It is common knowledge in engineers.

mine was menat 2 be an rx6b..... they are very good turbo's from what i read about them.. just cant get them in internal waste gate.. rated for about 450Hp... there good size turbos'
