Spluttering Engine Problem

HI guys,

i have a r32 gts. RB25 DE, and i have started incountering a problem when i drive in the rain. all power just vanishes. like you put your foot down and it goes from being at 2000rpm to being at about 5000 but not moving at all. then stalls. i thought that it may be the air intake as it has a pod filter that sits down in the front left well in front of the wheel beside the fog light. but just recently it has started doing it in the sun light when it hasnt rained. the engine starts to rev and then idles really low then spikes up high then starts to die. if i keep in revving it will stay alive but when you take off it splutters like no fuel is getting through. but it revs high and then no power and doesnt move anywhere. it is a real problem but no one seems to know what the problem is.

i love my car but it is starting to pi$$ off my partner as we need a reliable car

any help would be great

I had a similar problem in the wet, I fixed by undoing every elec connection and spray with lanosol and reconnect stopped it for about a year and respray stopped it again.

i wish it could be that easy man

would this solve a problem like this in the dry?
