Do you feel anything in the pedal, or do you just hear it?

I recently had a new heavy duty clutch put into my car, and when I let me foot off the clutch quickly (in reverse) I hear a clang kind of sound.

I took it to a gearbox place and the guy told me nothing to really worry about - just notice more sound because of the new clutch. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or knows what causes it... and if I should be worried.

Any ideas?

Cheers

I also had clicking when I pushed the clutch in and let it out.

I later found to my dismay that the clicking was caused by the metal bracket holding the clutch pedal to the underside of the dash, literally breaking apart.

My clutch is pretty ****ing heavy though, so it just ripped it apart :P

i get those noisy sounds from clutch when the gear is in reverse... its not the usual winding sound when reversing a manual car... :P

i recently got a heavy duty clutch put in... its a single plate heavy duty with 30% more clamping force than the stock one... well, thats what i was told from my mechanic.. (i was overseas)

but for some reason , the clutch feels even lighter than the stock one i had before... should i just skip this single plate bullsh1t and move on to twin-plate?? the only reason i got a single this time was because my mechanic reckons a single-plate is enough for my car (R33 GTR 190kw@4wheel) and also told me that twin plate wouldn't last as long as a single-plate...
