Gearbox Rebuild

input bearing starting to make some noise so starting to save up for it but not sure who to go to.

Does anyone know what the cost's are? rest of box seems fine sycros, shifts etc.

If anyone has theirs done recently can they please recomend somewhere ?

Dale @ K&A motorsports has done a few.

A few people go somewhere else, but i say go with who you are happy with. Just remember the service someone else got wont be the same you get.

To put a bearing set through the box costs around $450 in parts + labour ($200). This is with supplying the box out of the car.

i was quoted around $600 just to in / out the damn box (rb25det one)

See Joe at JV Automotive (same place where Wheelworks is on South Rd, Joe owns both), they do good rates on labour to R&R the g'box, forgot who they sent my box to to have the 2nd gear synchro and snapped input shaft replaced replaced, but it was relatively cheap (also put in new clutch at the time)

hey ive rcently done mine a full rebuild.

i pulled my box out and stripped it down and gave the gears still mounted to centre piece to a guy called Rick at Quinn Motors in Salisbury ph. 08 8258 8798 he was excellant and cheap i had new bearings done and he only charged $400.

i bought a second hand box so if ya need any parts give me a pm

also if ya have any Q's give me a pm

is that $400 icluding parts and labour trick? (for an r33 box yer?)

Im gunna do the same as you to save some $$. I only need a bearing set put through. Did u have the syncro's done?
