i am on 56k...

with windows xp, you can set so it reconnects if the line is dropped, and also i have my own phoneline, so i can leave internet on 24/7 unless i wanna disconnect to use house phone, if its durin day ill go use other line in the other room haha..

ohwell ...and my isp has no hour or limit resctrictions, and they leave ya on for 6 hrs at a time...

fair enough ya gotta filter half the crap, but geneerall depending on how good your connection is.. you can usually download a movie in like 30ish hours of constant download( thats a good qual divx for 1 cd)... 30 hrs seems like a while, but if you think about it, 3 nites sleep is about that.. so just leave the pc and internet on, 3 nites, thats not downloading at all durin your awake times...

so basically yeh, 2-3 days per movie, coz if i go out, just flick open kazaa.. another couple of hrs, or if i have hockey etc, or going out for half the nite...

the only thing is that, you get more pissed off on 56k, if you waste an hr download enough of teh file to preview it and its wrong, or even more so if you download the whole thing only to find 10mins missing from the end.
