Tyre Pressure

my skylines has got work euroline series wheels, front 235/17 rear are 255/17

what is the recommended tyre pressure you should pump the tyres up to?

i got no idea what it should be the tyre pressure guide i have is for the stock 16inch wheels.

any recommendations?

The tyre manufacturer should have a recommended running pressure. But try 36 front, 34 rear (cold).

Run mine on 35psi all round.

35psi all around would be alright. I once ran 38 psi in the rears of a 255/40/17 and the middle wore out faster than the edges so it was too much pressure.

yeah but that depends on the tyre, mainly the stiffness of the sidewall. 40-45psi hot will give you the best handling with most road tyres.

Put the fronts to 32psi and the rears to 40 psi and then go sick drifting nah seriously...

I run all my tyres at 34psi. Have a play around with different tyre pressures and then see what suits your car/tyres best.

yeah thanks for the advice guys, ill know what pressure limits to stick to when testing,

i think anything above 38psi should be a big no no

ive been playing around with mine - sidewall says max 40psi - so i started it at 32 psi all round have tried 38 and 35psi as well all feel different but 35 seems to be the best...... 32psi feels like the wheels grip too much 38psi seems too feel like im sliding all over the place....... i reckon just test different setings as no soubt every tyre will have their own characteristics... buy the way im running 215*45*17 sumitomo
