can you fix the scraches on the leather steering wheel with some sort of product, or do you need to get it recovered! can't replace with sports wheel cause of airbag removal law and with my driftin

you need a airbag! ...........hahahahaha!

Scotts auto in NSW act as an agent, for a company who will recover,the price was batween $300 and $400 depending on leather type and single or multiple colors.

has anyone had their steering wheel repaired? whats the finish like? does it look like a retrimmed wheel? or is it factory looking?

Go see an automotive/boat retrimmer - mine was $150 inc everything. Note: factory uses a jig to stretch, place and glue the leather onto the steering wheel. The retrimmers obviously do not have this specific jig so they use a slightly different method i.e. hand made and hand stitched. The only visable difference is the stitch pattern, the hand crafted one is 'real' stitching, not just stitching for 'show'.

theres a really good place on the coast that does retrimming. ASR is the name... cant remember suburb or other details at the moment. If your interested I can look it up for u.
