i need an exhaust will the following priorities:

1. not too loud or drony, preferably quiet (like stock) when idling or crusing, but can be loud when pushing the car

2. needs to perform well enough coz i wanna run max boost in my stock turbo (going to get a dual stage controller and already got a pod and will probably get a dr drift chip)

where should i get it done how much expect to pay ?

i also wanna have a massive stainless 5" tip, shoul;d i go a name brand for the tip ? advantages ? disadvantages ?

thanks guys :burnout:

massive! huh...

just go to a local exhaust place tell them what you want and usually they'll do it pretty good

if your looking for somewhere in melbourne that is recommended id take mine to red ace motors in hugesdale they import cars and were originally an exhaust place but now they also do rwc's as well. So they fit exhausts to skylines all the time. I've dealt with them and i told a friend of mine to go there as well... everything was good

Personally I'd go for the branded ones. They are a straight bolt on and have been designed for maximum flow. Even chase up a second hand one, you may even get away with $500 for a cat back system!!!

My cat back exhaust cost me $500 and it's an Apexi Dual N1 item. If your not in a hurry, just look around in forums, you're bound to come across a good cat back system!!!

Don't go cat back if you are looking for performance.

You will need to get a turbo back 3" system, with high flow cat and straight through muffler (less retriction). Australian brands like turbosmart are just as good.

I got mine done at an exhaust place in Webb Str., in Airport West (just off Matthews Ave.) Can't think of the name but you can't miss it.

Getting everything new allows you to choose how you want your exhaust to sound and look.

If any of ya ever heard of Barney Exhaust, big and well name place. I know Barney myself, he works on Dayton Ferrari, big horse power car and after closing the business down he still works in a shed at the back of a farm but big place and fully equiped and price are reasonable as well so if you want to check it out give me a buzz.
