Fixing Door Window Glass Guides

whats the best material to use to replace the felt that is on the tabs that press against the door window glass? Is the soft part of velcro ok?

I dont want scratches on my nice replaced window!

i just did this job last weekend. For the outside felt pads, i removed the felt and replaced it with boat carpet that i purchased from clark rubber. Its a bit thicker than the old stuff but it holds the window in place a little tighter. I left the inner ones alone as they were still ok, just adjusted them in so that the window wouldnt shake when it is wound down. the only time you'll get scrathes is if grit has fallen down onto the pads.
