How loud is the noise supposed to be, i just got a 5x8 Xforce muffler fitted, still 2" piping and the noise is quite loud inside the car - possibly louder than outside. Would adding deadener to the boot help stop this?

What size is the stock exhaust piping?

I've got one of those funky dual tipped exhausts, with a side that opens up.

Not sure what it means, but it certainly looks pretty cool :)

On my series 1 it's about 2", i think series 2's have 2.25".

Are you sure you've got one of the mechanical mufflers? I thought they were only on S2 models, i just took mine off the other day and it only had the twin tips, no moving parts.

Yeah, that's what I thought!

Mine looks a bit big for a 2", but it probably is.

Definately has the mechanical moving bit, though.

I've fiddled with it, fun little toy, haha.

I'm 99.99% sure I have a S1, though... Maybe an aftermarket mod?

I'll take pictures tonight

Or you could just put a better muffler on it :P

I did realise that it was a straight through design, it also stated "Fibreglass packing for effective noise suppression" so i assumed that would cut down on drone. Any suggest on mufflers which will sound better than the tinny rattle my stock one has, but without the drone?
