I never thought to check the piping out. Ill have a look in the morning. If it doesnt happen to be that, i'll have to bring it to a mechanic i suppose. I'll let you know what happens anyway arbess.

poor GTRs dont like surviving on uni wages any more than a uni student does

in regard to what needs checking: its all above, weve told you. we cant do much more unless you get a reading of the fault codes or use some intuition and take apart the piping, pull out the AFM's and get them tested. An auto electrician can test stuff like coil power packs , AFMs etc if you dont have the right tools

if you cant afford the call out then it may be best to bite the bullet and sell the car. shes got a big belly and likes to eat your cash :P

Your absolutely right! i can watch in amazement my fuel magically dropping before my eyes! They do eat cash!

Oh and also try talking nice to the car.....i threatened to sell her once and she wouldn't start for 3 days!!!!! No joke!

lol thats like the "talking to plants make it grow better" kinda thing. spread the good feng shui and you get positive energy. heheh. I admit, i say sorry to my car if i ever accidentally go over a pothole or bottom-out on a speed bump. pretty sad :ermm:

You sold your gtst for a GTR? true though with thrashability. thrash a GTR, and in the possible case it goes bang, expect to pay big bucks! :D

    • Hope your all having a mean Xmas! If anyone happens to know any trick to using the insanely complex climate control system, I cannot get it to not be on dual zone no matter how many times I deselect it (will say it's not but both vents blow different temps). Also one side is always hot, one always cold 🤷
    • I'd be looking at the mentioned EFR kit, room to turn it up if decide on e85 (which we know you will) and be super responsive and fun on the street. • I have an Elite 2500, honestly most of this has been a lot of smaller tasks chasing little details and a whole lot of life getting in the way of bigger projects. I don't mind too much looking at a spectrograph vs having audio knock ears.
    • Nah nah nah nah. Don't do it. It's not all about the full throttle power delivery. The main "street fun" and drivability gains from smaller rear (in this case) is how you will have boost available from a low rpm when yo just roll onto the throttle. Think jinking in and out of traffic, coming out of roundabouts, etc etc, where you just want to roll onto the throttle a little and have the spooly noise from ~2000rpm and a swell of torque. More of what you've already achieved by going to 2.5. And then, towards the tail end of 2025 you can pull the turbo 4 out and put in a V8 like we originally suggested. :P
