Clutch Alignment Tool

Hey guys and girls,

Just wondering if any of you had a clutch alignment tool that i could borrow for an afternoon. Having a bit of grief getting the box to line up with the clutch plate and need a tool to line it up properly.

If anyone could help soon that would be greatly appreciated.

Soz - Sons gone away for the weekend. He's a mech out at Graham SIlk Racing. Try Greg at Pro engines (qbyn) 2 moro. They should be at work in NSW.

I'd lend you one if I had one but sorry i dont, we very rarely work on cars themselves. I wont be in tomorrow, we're only 100m from the ACT so I thought we should have a holiday!

I hope its too late by now...but your local repco will have a nissan universal aligner about $10

Another option Nathan, go to a transmission shop, ask to borrow an input shaft, even take your old clutch in to show them, unfrotunatly cant remember what the one they lent me was from, but i only had to leave a $20 deposit

The input shaft was my next option, that way I know it will be perfectly aligned.

Otherwise I'll just get it towed somewhere and get it put back together. Need it back on the road

As abouve, i borrowed one form a place in wonden, there all pretty helpfull if you leave a deposit (which they refund when you return) i used an old datto one i tihnk, nissna semm to be fairly generic as far a the input shaft goes

you can use a socket and a broom handle. lol and it works too.
