Boost Leak Via Turbo Gasket

First question, seller claims boost leak via turbo gasket, claiming he'll change the gasket and therefore fix the leak. Will this actually fix the problem or just cover it up? Is the boost leak a bigger more costly problem making this car not worth buying? Any thoughts on this?

The problem is most likely just a perished/stuffed gasket. Changing the gasket will resolve the 'leak'. It's a few hours labour so just make sure it is done to your satisfaction prior to purchase.
