I don't know why these events are members only as usually events like this should be a good way of signing up new members once they get a taste of the kind of events that the club runs... Plus having it open to non-members undoubtedly increased the turnout on the day - not to mention gives a chance to see a new car enter that could be more modified than the usual lot...

Lets not get into what happened at a certain dyno day. with a certain idiot...

If you know what im talking about then you understand thats why we have closed meets for members only, and not some idiot off the street to come in an ruin the event for everyone :P

It eliminates the idiot factor right off the bat

Its a liability i dont need to deal with.

the crowed on the day will be controlled, as i know a fair bit of them through calaisturbo.com.au, You guys (which i know you guys have more sence than others) and nissansilvia.com.

ok fair enough.

but don't complain about the lack of numbers for dyno days.

If your talking about what happen in early Feb? then i was there and it was a great turnout pretty much the biggest dyno day short of autosalon... it was only 1 idiot that fu(ked it up but what are the chances of that happening again?

I had a great time talking to new people and seeing fresh cars - my mate even took a guy for a blast in his S13 they got along so well! (the other guy had a S14)

    • The trigger kit I have is similar to the one in the link below. While going through Facebook, I saw someone else mention a similar issue, and I鈥檓 starting to think this could be related to the crank gear itself. I understand these parts are CNC machined, but maybe some earlier versions or individual pieces might have slight inconsistencies鈥攊t just doesn鈥檛 look right in my case. https://www.facebook.com/share/16an8evZd9/?mibextid=wwXIfr I originally installed the crank gear using the thin OEM washer, but as shown in the attached photo, the timing belt walks very close to the edge. When I tried using a Nitto washer鈥攚hich is thicker鈥攊t actually made the issue worse. The belt walks about 1mm off the front edge, which raises more concern about alignment.   I鈥檝e gone through the full process of elimination:   The tensioner pulley and bolt are brand new and installed correctly. The bolt isn鈥檛 bent and is oriented properly. The back of the tensioner and the idler pulley are clean and seated correctly. The idler sits slightly more forward, which I understand is due to its design. I鈥檝e experimented with both tight and loose belt tension, but it makes no difference. As soon as the engine runs, the belt immediately walks forward again鈥攅ven if I reset it beforehand.     At this point, I鈥檓 considering replacing the crank gear with your Race Version 1 (12-tooth), but before purchasing, I wanted to ask:   Are you aware of any alignment issues when using this gear? Would this gear help keep the belt aligned correctly, or could the walking still occur? Does it work with a standard missing-tooth crank and rear washer? Is there any specific crank setup or install procedure required?     For reference, I鈥檓 not using a front washer, as the PRP crank gear seems to replace the need for one.   Looking forward to your advice.
