Ethanol Fuel?

Has anyone got any experience with running 5% ethanol? All i can seem to find is 'Nissan recommends that you don't run it in any of it's vehicles' - Is there any hard evidence to say one way or the other. Normally i wouldn't consider it, but when it's 4c/L cheaper than ULP and i'm broke, it's starts to look appetizing.

I usually use Optimax. I’ve used Optimax extreme (100, with ethanol)– with no noticeable difference on ‘butt of seat’ feel or Apexi FC data. From what I’ve read, it is debatable the real benefit of ethanol, this can all be solved with the appropriate tune, and if you can’t afford +4c a litre expense you should have never bought a performance car in the first place!
