stan id b up for a set the bolt directly to the car n not the plastic kick panel and scratches easily. metal is really easy to polish up so i felt this way would b a little better. but thats just my opinion

HI2U: We're looking at 1-2 weeks for the prototype (R34GTT 2 door) then that one is ready to roll out.

For all other models, it all depends on how soon I get confirmation of sizes and how soon I get stuff measured up and drawn. R34GTT panel took 8 hours to draw up, pleae be a little patient.

Primordial: Thanks!

Tangles: Thanks to you too!

KamikazeR33: We could offer you a direct replacement item... it will consist of a brand new kickplate + our panels installed and sent out to you. Of course, this new plate will be from Nissan which will up the cost etc. etc.

Reason why we've gone for the "plate only option" is so members are not going to have to pay heaps to dress up their stock plates. If you are concerned about your existing plates or the installation, we can do both for you (at a premium)

Overall, these units were designed with the client in mind... most people will appreciate that this is going to be kept at the lowest cost possible, but still generate the highest effect!

However, I do appreciate ALL feedback on the designs good and bad... so keep em coming!

:P I'll definitely buy a pair for my 33 if you develop them, my kickplates are all scuffed & dirty.

In my wildest of dreams I'd get some custom made metal kickplates with the "skyline" embossing lighting up when you open the door, like in some mercs. A man can dream

Your dream could become a reality but seriously it's not really worth your time and money.

The way to do it would be to get the SKYLINE bit cut out instead of etched, then applying a clear polycarbonate film on the surface. Underneath this panel you'd put in lights of whatever colour, shape or form.

Just thinking about it is making me twitch... the cost would be too great to justify a once-off custom fabrication :P

yep, as I said "in my wildest of dreams"

I could never justify the time & money spent on such a project.

Are you still considering a carbon fibre version? I read some mention of it in thread before this one.

Carbon Fibre version still an option yes...

Anthony, when do you need the 32 plates by? Let me know and I'll get that happening ASAP - still need some plates to measure up dammit!

hey stan, sorry if i confused u i just re read my post n wondered if i really did post that

i meant not to use the plastic panel at all but use a full metal kickplate instead with the design on it? this option may be useful as im going to assume if its just goin to be a rectangular plate it could b a multifit item

Can anyone confirm that the GTR kickplates are identical to the GTST kickplates across all three models?

If this is the case it will save me a lot of time :O

Pretty please somebody?

R34's are. I can tell you that much

Thanks guys...

Kamikazee: The cost involved will not be worth my time or the clients'. Also, having a metal kickplate will not be good as metal does dent - purely keeping it to the small replacement plates will mean that it's more manageable.

    • G'day all, I have drilled and tapped the hole for the relocation of the timing belt tensioner. That was straight forward. I'm unsure if I need to also put another hole for the smaller stud that the spring behind the tensioner catches on (this is how it seems to work in its original spot). Or do you not use the spring behind it and just torque it down? Thanks in advance, I did a search but couldn't find anything related and it doesn't mention it in the rb30det sau guide.
    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much

    • 😜 hopefully we get this instead of a new R36 GTR due to recent financial problems at Nissan. Nismo to sell a complete kit with RB26 and driveline. All starts making sense (ok maybe not) once the Nissan Leaf's (Leaves?) with stuffed EV motors/batteries hit the market cheap
