Running rich

Can anyone tell me why my car is running rich its been getting worse over the last few weeks and today it had fuel smoke while the car was at idle. I had a malpassi fuel reg fitted about 2 months ago do these things stuff up at all:confused:I have a Power FC so we can pull a bit of fuel out but i would still like to know what is going on

You locked the pressure adjuster in position?

Have you checked what fuel pressure the Malpassi is regulating to?

After youve chacked for any vac leaks that has been mentioned,

Winding your reg up will increase your fueal across the board and ALL of your fuel curve will be richer and has to be remapped.

Has this been done yet?

I set my reg to 40psi with no vac hose connected to it but then found it was too lean at 1bar so i upped it to 45 and had to readjust all SAFC readings again!

No barrie hasnt done the remap yet it was running a bit rich but now its hell rich i will go over the engine to see if i have any vac leaks and get it booked in for a remap for the fuel because its costing a shit load to run as it is.It used 1/4 tank to get from ascott to midland and back again:(
