hey everyone!! Im jus searching for an intercooler kit and with so many differnt choices out there and everyone has there own point of view on th subject i thought id see what other stagea owners are using..

1) what size?

2) what style ie bar n plate, tube n fin and even if its return feed etc

3) brand name or copy

4) complete "skyline" kit or custom piping

5) are you happy with the results?

6) Rough pricing all up ?

I know theres already been a thread similar to this, so please dun bag me out as it didnt realy give me the answers.

Im currently checking out a genuine Hybrid R33 skyline kit, 600x300x76 bar and plate, all piping brackets, tubeing etc brand new for $600 + $50 postage sounds like a damn good deal to me ... so before i part with my cash just really want to get an idea whats working for others with stageas.

Cheers Lee

That sounds good Chris, any chance you'll persuade them to make the ones where the return pipe goes back under the intercooler core so we can still use the same holes as the standard SMIC uses?

And another quick question, can you get your hands on Defi gauges? I want three 2" ones, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Boost, if you can get prices for them it would be greatly appreciated. Nengun are cheap, but apparently can take a long time getting here (which I suppose is the price you pay).

Thanks,

Nick

Monkey Warehouse supply's intercoolers. I'm working on having some Stagea kits made up too :D

try and get the s2 260rs kit, cos i need the side skirts to go with my front bar. :P

p.s. im happy to let you get a mould of my front bar made if it means i can get the side skirts for free/cheap :)

Nope cant do Defi unfortunatly. We have Motor Meter, which are made by Autogauge. Those gauges should be around $40-$50 each. Lemme know if your interested. And yes, Ill have a chat and see what I can do about the intercoolers

yeah hey i have got the cooler in a mates shed atm, what we did was get the core without end tanks on it and cause he can do all custom work and welds stainless we put the intake and outlet on the same side of the cooler so we just have to run 40cm of pipe back to the factory piping and it looks completly stock. all up it will cost me $450 and it was a 600*300*100 PWR core.

hey goldzilla i can get u them defi guages i will price them when i go back to work in a week cause i on holidays atm. will pm with details

i'd be getting either one to use the original pipework (both on same side) such as a hybrid one, or for a cooler with tanks on each end and requiring new pipework totally, id use the stock r32/33/34 gtr coolers. they are a perfect fit, and it just depends on how u want to route the cooler piping in the engine bay as to which one u choose :( i'd pick a gtr cooler over a hybrid anyday.

choose is yours :(

hey goldzilla i can get u them defi guages i will price them when i go back to work in a week cause i on holidays atm. will pm with details

That would be awesome, thanks Neo. Where do you work, if you don't mind revealing (PM if you wish)?

Working part-time atm is killing me - surviving fine, but saving for mods, etc. is almost non-existant. Just started getting bits and pieces of my stereo together (the standard stereo and speakers suck), and gauges are next, then the performance mods will begin - starting with that intercooler...

Cheers,

Nick
