Timing Belt

Ok, cars comming to 100, ooo on the clock, suposedly....but im fairly sure my car hasnt been wound back.

i know the timing belt should be changed fairly soon, just to be careful, but how safe am i say, if i went on a cruz and belting the old girl around a bit?

i know it aint much money to do, but im tryin to out it off a month or two when i need to do a checkup and rego and $hit like that.

i'd play it safe and do it the very first chance you get.

the only way to gauge this risk would be knowing the REAL history of your car, which i'm sure nobody knows. even then, that might not even help.

Well as far as u know u could be well wound back really. And if a timing belt snaps ur engines dies, valves smash into pistons and nice things like that.

My car came into Aust with 88,000kms and i got it done straight away. Just as a precaution.

It only costs a few hundred bucks, i'd just go do it as soon as you can.

i did mine at 55000ks.... for all i know its done 155000

Does anyone have the nissan part # or that part number of a replacement item ?

rb25 part # for a genuine belt is 1302820p25 just give that to your local nissan dealer and say you want it dont tell them what it is for
