Ceramic wheel in there.Dump raised boost to 15.5psi thru the mid and 12 from 6200 up so we dropped it back to 12.5 thru the mid with boost falling to 11psi thru the top as Skylines do.

Better mid power but no different up top. Power 299.1rwhp @ 11-1 afr still going over 300 @12-1 but the topend timing hits 22deg from 6500rpm being the reason it picks up 10-15hp but we dont want that much timing so its time for an ECU because we all know leaning out an SAFC also adds timing.

Dont know why this car is better than average but the owner says its quicker than other more modifyed R33s and i spose thats more of a test than a Dyno run.

Who cares about dyno figures. Take it to the track, if it runs the MPH consistant with that power, then you know for sure it's a freaker.

Until then, its just another dyno figure from a single source.

but the raw power of a dyno printout is awesome!!!!!!

....then the x-man spun round and with his mighty hand he shoved the dyno printout in the face of his enemy!

Stuck by the awesome power of it's reflex paper cheapness the enemy was blown backwards through the air to land 10 feet away in a crumpled heap.

AMAZING!

It is true this is the only dyno the car has been on, but for years it has been whoppin my R33's arse... exact same mods yet always pulls away....I am sure I was even running more boost!!. It is the same with heaps of other modified R33's out there. Cruises, on the way home from a car show whatever, always pulls away. You really need to ride/drive it and you can feel that it pulls harder than a similar modded R33.

I am sure he would chuck it on another dyno --- your shout of course

well to prove that my one is truthful here is the dyno sheet!!! 302rwhp!!!

To bring back an old post.

That dyno graph has intake temp of 53 deg and ambient of 25 thats a large spread and will increase the HP reading noticably. Thats almost a full 30 degree increase.

Yes it does thats the point.

Shootout takes the ambient temp and adds a correction based on the inlet temp. To try and give a consistent reading taking away temperature variables. So on a different temp day you get the same HP reading.

So a large gap between the two numbers means the dyno will add Correction IE adding HP.

Well actually that was my dyno graph...which is totally different to the car they are talking about right now!!!

If an airfilter has 30deg higher than ambiant then we still have to put the probe at the filter, its in the guidelines.HIPSI can check the temp difference on this car but i think its about 16deg.Wildcats cars 300rwhp was backed up on another dyno (Hyperdrive i think)

My Dyno seems to be one of the lowest reading at the moment with an average of 8 to 10% less than Xspeed and Hyperdrives Shootout graphs so im getting it checked as Dyno dynamics are in town for the show this weekend.Ill post the result.

    • Knowing how slow their other compressors are that connect to the cars battery, you'd want to hope it's one hell of a slow leak!
    • So why can’t the front pipe just be listed as custom make? why does everything have to have a brand name to it? or if you have bought the car like this and have no idea about anything at all or no knowledge what so ever of parts how are you supposed to inform them of what it is you have exactly?
    • Yep, I'd be interested to hear how it works out in the end.
    • Because all parts that are put into your papers usually are assigned a badging if they did not come with one. So other people can just check that badging to tell if it is the parts your papes outline. But my pipe has NOTHING on it whatsoever. No idea why this even passed as a Mines pipe to begin with. I see this going two ways: -nobody cares and it's a non-issue, but that is unlikely -the pipe will just have to be assigned a bagding, for sake of argument, a Mines logo, and the papers corrected accordingly If it interests you I will post what the actual solution ended up being. All I care about is that it has to sound equal length and nobody can screw me later on because of a pipe being illegal.
    • The fasteners to the pipe are not subject to TÜV I guess, if we really start putting nuts and bolts through technical tests I'm going to hang the people responsible and then myself. Usually on a modern-ish EU normed car, you would just replace the pipe. Because if you start hacking away at it and welding new pieces on the cops will definitely find a reason to tow your car. That is just how it is sadly. On old cars and imports with no clear "standard" stuff like that won't matter too much. Most cops or inspectors probably won't even really know what they are looking at. But there is experts for this stuff even among cops, and some of them know the rules to a T and even have extensive knowledge about many vehicles. For "just a pipe" to be legal it usually is included in a set of parts, like a complete intake kit or a full exhaust. For example my exhaust needs to pass a noise test, meaning they have a standardized test track with a set of instructions and they run the car through there 3x for an average noise value that is 75dB(a) at point x of the test track. If it's above that, fail. For a turbo setup to be put in your papers you have to do dyno runs, emissions testing etc. So quite costly
