Car Steam Cleaners/detailers

Hey guys as stated above, I know Mavrics cousin (Gavin) does car detailing but i just spoke to him and he said the cost for him to hire the steam cleaner and do it wouldnt be worth it. He mentioned that he can shampoo and clean most stuff, but i need to get the tobacco smell out of my car. He said try and get a place that already steam cleans to do it.

So im looking for a good place that will steam clean my car, if anyone can recommened a place that would be great!!

Im in Eastern Suburbs.

You could hire a Britex machine from Coles and give it a go yourself.

I use these to steamclean our carpets at home, I'm pretty sure there is a small nozel which could work for a car.

Perhaps worth checking them out to see if it is suitable.

Otherwise there is a couple of car cleaning places at Knox City - im sure they'd do it for you.

Thanks for the suggestion, ill get a place that knows what they are doing as im sure ill stuff something up If the temp of the steam cleaner is not right or their is to much water, Gavin was saying how it can bring the dirt up from deep within the seat and not clean it properly etc.

May have to start looking around, but was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations/experiences so i know im leaving my car with someone who will do the job right.

i remember chatting to a guy who was steam cleaning mums carpet and seats etc., he said he also does cars and they come up pretty good...

remmember he said something like 40 bucks for front and back seats..

i will see if mum still has his number, but i suggest you call carpet cleaners and ask to see if they will do your car..

I've had cars done in a few places in Ringwood and Boronia...The place in Boronia did an awseom job on my FTO when I got it new...called Protech.

In ringwood me and my mates have used Tankards (I think)they have done some decent work...usually u they all clean they whole car...not just the seats..costs about $100.

Sounds pret sweet, may have to venture down that way.

Anyone know any near Bulleen/Doncaster, or any mobile ones that come to you?
