just dont rush into something without reading the fine lines.. there are alot of places out there that have stupid charges. try and get a loan that doesnt penalise you for lump sum payments and early loan payouts if u plan on selling your current car and paying off a large amount of the loan.

hmm this has kinda made my day

applied through NAB and Westpac and both are willing to loan me the entire $37,000. NAB even said to me that if it wasnt enough they can lend me more. Im gonna go through NAB with the personal loan but if it falls through ill have westpac there too

laterz to commbank, they are missing out on my interest :D

Edited by TracidTrax

commbank are useless IMO anyway. Stuffed me around so much with calls, charges and cards. Walked in one day and told them to cancel everything there and then and write me a cheque for the balance of my accounts. Had a business account, credit card, savings accounts with them but they are hopeless.

Now with the ANZ and they are even open saturday mornings.

Ironic thing is Commbank offer the best mortgage for borrowing against the equity in your parents home. ANZ are in second but at the risk of going with the Commonwealth, we avoided that mortgage type altogether.

BTW Tracid, thats a lot of $$ plus the sale of your own car, what are you planning on getting at 19? :P

mate... you don't need a finance company, you need a financial adviser...

why?

to tell you that you shouldn't be oweing that much money at your age.

if you can't afford it, then you shouldn't be buying it

what happend if you blow an engine tomorrow?

can you afford replacement front end if you crash?

can you afford the appropriate insurance?

what do your parents think of this?

i know this is not what you want to hear, and you probably reply to me saying "get lost you tool", but seriously you need someone to sit down and have a long chat with you about finances...

saff cossie, ill be buying a '98 Supra TT

Warren, i understand where ur coming from though initially lots of people cant afford cars so they take out loans and now that my current supra has been payed off and ive saved up a little its time to upgrade
