i know that on boost it would be above 0 and when you back of the throttle it goes into negative cause its creating vacume not boost but i always thought it would sit on 0 on idle.

ok normally it idles clsoe ot the -7 but it has in the last 2 days moved to -4.

last time i had a cracked hose i had a similiar issue...i might change the hose to the boost sensor and see if it resolves the issue

thanks boys

Mr_crust,

i am very sure u have a vacum leak somewhere,

i experienced it.

b4 i installed my boost gauge.

First was fine, the needle sitting at near -7, about -6 to be precise, but couple of days, the needle start to climb to -5, and then -4, and eventually it sit near 0 when just idling. I noticed it and decided to check.

It turns out the hose that i connected to the T piece when installing boost gauge, it kinda split, so over time, that split geting bigger and bigger.

therefore i am pretty sure u have got a vacuum leak somewhere that caused the needle to sit closer to 0,

if all in good working order, it should be sit as close to -7 or -6.

I dont have pic rite now, but i can be sure that the stock boost gauge, at idle, the needle should be about 2mm-3mm next to the -7!
