Hi all, well most probably wouldn't know me cause I usually lurk in the background and I've barely been on here since selling my 33 a while back. But shortly I'll be behind the wheel of another Nissan!

I pickup my S15 Spec R on Friday - Can't wait!

It's bog stock, but the hunt for parts has already begun, will chuck it on the dyno next week before the mods begin :D

Hopefully be out cruising soon, if Silvia's are welcome of course?

I'd better change that avatar of mine...

how many KW are you hoping for?

IMO - KW is for bragging to your friends. The real test is how the car performs, and whether it meets what you expect of the car. You may have 400rwkw with a turbo that comes on hard later on in the rev range, but if you can't get traction then what's the use.

Its stock cause its on a lease...

She works for QLD Gov so we cant modify it in any way...

However her lease runs out in june 07 so then its time for a FMIC, Turbo, Injectors, Pistons, Rods...

You name it and she has got it on her shopping list...

I have owned 2 skylines in the past... sold my last one 3 months ago.. i was in dillema as to whether i get an S15 R / R33 GTR or a Supra.

i had the best opportunity with the Supra so i took it.

and i must say its an awesome car.

NS.com will give ya a good welcome just like Supraforums.com did.

LOL

Any reason you went with the slower Spec R, over the Spec S?

(not having a go at you, just curious?)

Is it because of more luxury/extras?

I don't think the spec R is slower than the spec S...aren't they identical engine wise apart from additional aesthetics on the spec R??

    • wow so i just logged back in after buying the 33 and joining SAU, And I've got all a whole bunch of you wanting to know more, well unfortunately it still doesn't run i was hoping it was seized from a snapped timing belt as i turned it over by hand and it was fine and then it did a few revolutions and jammed solid when i was running it with the key, so the timing belt is mint, I've also found a lot of the parts I'm removing have already got bolts undone or not quiet tight enough to be unsuspicious. so the plan is to find a running RB30 block and chuck my head on it.  I have a habit of buying stuff I don't need or require so for my none running engine i have a forward facing plenum , Apexi power fc, 40mm Turbosmart wastegate, And for the car its self coilovers ,low seat rails and BRZ seats (black seats with red stitching i already had these and they are ADR Approved and allow rear passengers access)
    • I took apart the dash and found this strange 2 pin connector. it dosen't seem like its factory or oem, any clue on why someone would add it and where it might have been connected too?
    • Not mention a SS2 especially with that rear oddly small rear housing. I feel the Facebook mechanics and experts has led OP in the wrong direction.
    • Won't get near 400kw, pump and injectors nowhere big enough. Bin the manifold and get off the shelf and a modern ECU.
