hey guys does anyone hav jumboz springs or know anything about them? they dont have an official web site. i just bought some from a guy on sau, but he advertised them as king springs. king springs are yellow these are green. and i had them shipped down from sydney so as you can guess i wasnt too impressed when i opened the box to find green springs.

they is no part number on them and they didnt come in a box or anything. im only guessing they are jumboz from what other members have told me. i have no idea how low they are or if they even fit my car. the seller bought them second hand from someone else and has never had them on his car. should i put them in anyway?

Go to this thread, it shows you how to measure the springs. Then stick up the dimensions and I will work out the spring rate for you. That will at least give you some idea of how firm they are going to be. If you also post up the free height of the coil I may be able to work out how high it is going to be.

the taller set are 89mm at the narrow end and 104mm at the wider side. they are both made from 13mm diameter spring.

They are progressively wound springs, looking at the pictures and counting the coils, the rates are something like;

Front = 230 lbs per inch soft and 690 lbs per inch hard

Rear = 130 lbs per inch soft and 470 lbs per inch hard

With that amount of progression (5 and 6 coils respectively) they are going to be low, very low. They are also going to be very harsh riding with those sorts of spring rates.

Since they are not Kings as was advertised, I would try and get my money back from the guy who sold them to you.

:P cheers :O
